This sale will be held in our Toowoomba auction rooms with full absentee bidding facilities. This auction features the outstanding collection of Peter & Arlene Jensen from Benalla in Victoria. Their outstanding kerosene lamp collection contains over 400 items including 60 banquet lamps, 100’s of table lamps and finger lamps, also lots of spare parts (burners, chimneys, shades, etc). To compliment their collection Graham Lancaster has sourced some fine early colonial and antique furniture and a small selection of quality ceramics and glassware. This is undoubtedly one of our finest and highest quality offerings to date.

Thursday 04 January 2007 | Two Great Auctions in February | Graham Lancaster Auctions will be holding and is currently cataloguing 2 auctions that will be held in February, both held in our Toowoomba auction rooms. First up, our annual Garagenalia, enamel sign, tin & oil bottle auction will be held on Car Swap weekend on Sunday 4th February. This sale consists of some truly outstanding advertising signs & oil/petrol memorabilia. As an addition, this sale will also include the entire contents of Oliver’s Australiana Museum including a large assortment of kitchenalia, cast iron ware , dairy & laundry memorabilia,, rustic furniture, iron collection , tools, museum items, curios and much much more. Many items have significant local provenance.
A few weeks later, during the ‘Toowoomba bottle show’ weekend, Graham Lancaster Auctions will host its annual evening bottle & pot lid sale in conjunction with the show on Saturday17th February. This sale will include a large array of quality bottles including an outstanding ginger beer collection, black glass, rare & desirable pot lids, codds, cordials, convict spruce bottles & more. This sale is renowned for offering some of Australia’s best bottles & pot lids. An auction not to be missed.

Monday 16 October 2006 | A Major 2 day Australiana, Pottery & Carnival Glass | Our November Australiana & Pottery auction is now a 2 part sale. Day 1, Saturday 11th November, 6pm-9pm will feature all Carnival glass, Pokerwork, Convict Pottery, Aboriginal Breast Plates and Art. Day 2, Sunday 12th November, view 8am, start 9:30am will feature all Australian Domestic, Studio & Artware pottery. Contrary to earlier advertising, we have had to add the Saturday evening auction to deal with the high quality and quantity of goods we have been commissioned to sell.
We are currently in the process of cataloguing this 2 day Australiana, Pottery & Carnival Glass auction. The major vendor for this auction is the pottery collection of the 'University of South Australia', consisting of some 2000 items. Due to the enormous task involved in cataloguing and photographing this outstanding collection, the online and printed catalogue will not be available until the end of this week.
